I live in Kidlington and became a community governor in 1999 and Vice-Chairman in 2004. I serve on three committees - Finance; Performance Management; Premises. A retired Chartered Mechanical Engineer I worked in the car industry on the development of new models and bringing them into production. I am a founder member of Woodstock & Kidlington Rotary Club and in my spare time I am either on my allotment, on the golf course or spending time with our grand-children here and in Canada. On behalf of the school I manage the major projects for improving the premises & grounds and spent many "happy hours" helping to create the Foundation Classroom.

My name is Claire Gadsby and I am a parent governor. My daughter Poppy is in year 1 and thoroughly enjoying life at Bladon School. We are relatively new to Bladon having moved here from Oxford in 2014 but we love being part of such a vibrant school  and village community.

Professionally, I work as an educational trainer and author supporting more than a hundred schools each year. This has given me an interesting perspective which I hope may be useful to me in my role as a governor.
