Christian Distinctiveness

Flourish as a family in the fullness of life. Feed the mind; free the imagination.

Together as a family, feeding the mind with knowledge and understanding, fostering feelings of awe and wonder about the world in which we live, so that children flourish, living life in all its fullness.

“But the godly shall flourish like palm trees and grow tall as the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted into the Lord’s own garden and are under his personal care. Even in old age they will still produce fruit and be vital and green. This honours the Lord and exhibits his faithful care. He is my shelter. There is nothing but goodness in him!” Psalm 12.15.

Bladon CE Primary School is proud of being a distinctively Christian school and we work hard to develop and sustain our school’s strong Christian character. The staff and governing body have a clear vision of the school Christian Ethos and this is demonstrated by:

  • spending time building enduring positive relationships between all members of the school community
  • placing Christian care and love are at the heart of daily school life
  • exploring our school values and modelling these consistently
  • delivering an enquiry-based approach to RE lessons, encouraging children to reflect on their learning and experiences
  • working in close partnership with St Martins Church

Across the whole school day and the whole curriculum, we commit to showing our children, parents and wider school community how the Christian faith makes a difference to all aspects of school life. We also have a weekly collective worship assembly led by the Reverend or Curate from St Martins Church.
