Kelly Blok
Co-opted governor

Term of office

01/09/24 -  31/08/28

Responsibilities

Chair of Governing Board; Leadership & Management, Finance Committee

Since 2015, my husband and I and our two children have called Bladon home and are proud to be active members of this special community. In 2018 my son joined Bladon Primary and my daughter joined in 2022. Over the last few years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my involvement in the school community: quickly joining Friends of Bladon School to support fundraising efforts, and, as of 2020, I have been Parent Governor–a role that I find both informative and rewarding. With over 15 years of marketing experience across different sectors, I now work as a senior marketer for a consultancy that specialises in academic publishing. As Parent Governor and a member of the leadership and management sub-committee, I welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively, share skills, and add value to this position.

I have an honours degree in Childhood Studies and I’m also a trained teacher, specialising in the Early Years. I have been running my own business (music classes for young children) for a number of years now. It has allowed me to develop a financial skillset, among many other things. Over the last two years I have become Co-Chair of Friends of Bladon School and have enjoyed helping to fundraise for our school and involving myself in school events. I feel that my interests, experience and expertise will be an asset to the governing team, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help guide our school to do the best for all of our children.
